Commencing in 2026, Sharks And Rays Australia is partnering with Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions to offer special white shark expeditions in South Australia. Founded by the legendary Rodney Fox himself, these expeditions will bring you closer to South Australian white sharks Carcharodon carcharias, and the other animals that inhabit the unique ecosystems of South Australia’s Neptune Islands. At Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions, you will not only see white sharks from a surface cage, but also have the unique opportunity of ocean floor cage diving. Our collaborative expeditions are special! These trips are only open to current university students specialising in fish biology, ecology, marine biology and other relevant fields. On top of spending time on a liveaboard vessel in temperate ecosystems, the expeditions will provide you with unique networking opportunities amongst your peers. Additionally, the SARA team will teach you some important skills that we hope will help you in your career pathways. Presentations will focus on ‘soft skills’, insights, and experiences from our own career paths which will inspire your own reflections.

In 2026, we will offer three expeditions:

• December 7 – 10, 2026
• December 11 – 14, 2026
• December 15 – 18, 2026

The cost of these expeditions starts at AUD 2495 per person, depending on the cabin you book.
