Do you have old natural fabric that you would like to see turned into a Carpet Shark Rag Rug? Like your favourite t-shirt that now has so many holes that you cannot wear it anymore, but you also cannot throw it out? Give it a second life!
How does this work? For one rug we need a minimum of two t-shirts. Pay for the rug (including return postage), and mail your t-shirts to our PO Box. If you are doing this without creating an account then please also email us your contact details and return shipping address. We will get back to you regarding when to expect your rug – in the middle of the field season it might take up to 2 months, so if this is a gift please plan ahead.
Rag rugs from our Carpet Shark Label are hand made in Cairns, from recycled materials (mainly old cotton t-shirts) that are 100% bio-degradeable. They are not meant to be perfect, just like wobbegong sharks have unique finger prints in their spot patterns.
All funds raised with these rugs will go 100% towards running SARA and our research.
